Many of Jon’s ex-students have gone on to become teachers themselves. Equally, many of his students have formed their own bands – some of them becoming quite successful. Jon’s style of teaching is unique and means that his students have a source of reference, thereby enabling them to continue the lesson once at home. This has proved invaluable - a tried and tested successful method - resulting in professional playing and the highest of exam results. As an example, over 90% of Jon’s students entered for RGT exams come away with Distinctions. Jon also plays lead guitar in his own band and has indeed continued to be a professional player as well as a teacher throughout his career. |
