Jon is an expert on guitars and related equipment,
having been playing for 40+ years.

Jon requires his students to bring a guitar and blank audio tape to the lesson with them. Students do not need to bring an amp. as this is supplied.

Jon appreciates that beginners may need advice on the type of guitar to buy and he is more than happy to discuss this over the telephone prior to the first lesson. Jon has links with many guitar shops in the area and knows which instruments they stock.

Jon is happy to advise students on putting strings on and on tuning up. He is also a keen collector of vintage instruments – but try not to let him talk about this too much as he finds it difficult to stop!
